VITA

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) provides trained volunteers who offer free tax help at the Newton Public Library to low-to-moderate income taxpayers during the tax season. Contact the Library for more information and a list of things to bring.

Tax assistance in 2012 will be available from February 1-April 16.

  • Mondays from 5:30-8 p.m.
  • Wednesdays from 2-5 p.m.
  • Thursdays from 1-3:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays from 9:30-noon

Volunteer

New volunteers are always needed.  Interested individuals may contact the Newton Public Library for this rewarding experience in assisting others.

The State of Kansas no longer makes paper forms available to Libraries; the online forms are here.
